National Credit Education Week — April 15 – 21, 2012

“THE DOCTOR IS IN…Ask Doctor Debt.com”
The theme for the 2012 National Credit Education Week — “THE DOCTOR IS IN…AskDoctorDebt.com” — was chosen not only to educate consumers on the importance of personal financial literacy, but also the negative impact debt has on the overall economy and to create awareness of this outstanding educational tool.

National Credit Education Week is sponsored by ACA International, ACA International Education Foundation and CBM Credit Education Foundation, Inc. in conjunction with the national Jump$tart Coalition’s Personal Financial Literacy for youth month.

Money Smart Week – Wisconsin is sponsored annually by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Wisconsin Governor’s Council on Financial Literacy.

National Institute of Financial and Economic Literacy

Formerly known as the “Wisconsin Institute of Financial and Economic Education,” this financial education program is offered for all educators teaching Personal Finance. Three graduate credits may be earned each week from Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin. The National Institute of Financial and Economic Literacy is presented by the Wisconsin Jump$tart Coalition in conjunction with Edgewood College. Major funding is provided by the CBM Credit Education Foundation.
